Grading and Reporting

Grades reflect demonstrated mastery of course standards. Teachers provide timely feedback and multiple opportunities to demonstrate learning.

  • Standards-aligned grading scale (A–F) for grades 6–12; standards-based reporting for K–5.
  • Progress reports issued mid-quarter; report cards each quarter/trimester.
  • Make-up work permitted for excused absences within a reasonable timeframe.

Promotion and Retention

Decisions are based on multiple measures including academic performance, assessments, and teacher/parent input.

Graduation Requirements (High School)

  • English: 4 years
  • Mathematics: 3 years (including Algebra I)
  • Science: 3 years (Biology, Physical Science, one elective)
  • Social Science: 3 years
  • World Language/CTE/Fine Arts: 2 years
  • Physical Education: 2 years
  • Electives: as needed to reach 220 credits

Academic Integrity

Cheating, plagiarism, or facilitating academic dishonesty is prohibited and subject to disciplinary action.
